That’s me on the shore of the Arctic Ocean

Hello, world! My name is Petr Baranovskiy (yep, without the second ‘e’), I hold a Master of Public Policy degree, and I spent several years working as a researcher with the University of Saskatchewan Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy, where I specialized in economic policy analysis, economic and statistical modeling, energy policy, and using geospatial data for policy analysis.

I love data analysis and the R language, and I am particularly interested in data visualization and spatial data. This blog is my new hobby, and I hope it would help economists and social scientists to start more actively using R in their work.
